Loudmouth Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wuntumi) is claiming to control most of the executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to him, he advised the opposition to push Asawase Member of Parliament, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka to go unopposed in the party’s parliamentary primary.

He indicated that he influences decisions the NDC takes through the executives, who he claimed to have in his pocket.
Chairman Wontumi said: “I won’t brag over this but the reality is that I control most of the executives of the NDC; some of them are on my payroll.
“I determine how they run their affairs in the party.” “In the case of the Asawase primaries, I told them to ensure that Muntaka goes unopposed and they have acted in accordance with my order.”
The NDC on Tuesday in a release declared Muntaka as Parliamentary Candidate for the party in the Asawase Constituency for the 2020 general elections after his opponent was disqualified by the Functional Executive Committee (FEC).
The release indicated that following the disqualification of Masawudu Mubarick, Muntaka Mubarak, the incumbent MP, will go unopposed.
“By the decision, Hon. Muntaka Mubarak goes unopposed and for that matter stands elected as the parliamentary candidate for the Asawase constituency,” the General Secretary of the Umbrella family Johnson Asiedu Nketiah said.
