Sports Minister, Hon. Isaac Asiamah on Wednesday 24th July briefed parliament on the expenditure of the 23 players and 7 staff. He admitted despite the poor performance of the Black Stars and their exit in the round of 16 stage, they spent a total of $4.5m, same amount as the tournament prize winner, Algeria.

And saved the country $1.7m from the budget of $6.3m given.

Speaking to the speaker of parliament, he stated:

“As I stated earlier, a detailed tournament report is to be provided by the Normalization Committee by 26th July, 2019 after which major recommendations and decisions with regard to the re-organization of football in Ghana will be taken. I thank you for the opportunity Mr. Speaker”.
