Kafui Augusta Takyi a parliamentary aspirant for the NDC in the Afajato South Constituency in the Volta region is reported paralyzed after expressing her desire to contest in the upcoming parliamentary primaries.

According to some reports from the Volta region, madam Kafui was very well and healthy when she came to the party office to file her nominations to contest in the primaries.

Week later, she was seen being pushed by her fans in a wheelchair when she was brought to the party office for vetting. Unfortunately, Madam Kafui was disqualified after failing to meet the requirements for the vetting but has however declared her intentions to contest in the 2020 elections despite her conditions.

The incumbent Member of Parliament for the NDC in the Afajato South Constituency Angela Oforiwaa-Tay has asked the members of the constituency to remember her in prayers and also wished her a speedy recovery and added that she wanted to contest a fit and healthy contestant.

But the incumbent MP passed her vetting successfully after meeting all her requirements. This leaves her as the only contender in that race.
