Kaneshi Court Remand Suspected Cops Killer And 6 Others in BNI Custody

The alleged killers of two police officers at Budumburam, Kasoa, in the Central Region have been remanded into custody by a Kaneshie District Court.

The suspects on August 28 shot and killed t Michael Dzamasi, a service driver, and L/Cpl Awal Mohammed – both personnel of the Motor Transport and Traffic Department (MTTD) detachment at Kasoa in the Central Region.

The seven – Eric Kojo Dua, Isaac Amissah, Ibrahim Zakaria, Isaac Mensa, Oblitey Commey, Victor Yire and Fatawu Ahmed were this morning hauled before the court presided over by Her Honour Rosemond Doodua Agyiri.

They are facing a total of four counts of conspiracy to commit crime, abetment to commit crime and murder.



The prosecution led by ASP Sylvester Appiah pleaded with the court to remand them in into custody to enable the police conduct further investigation.

He prayed the court to remand Duah, Amissah and Zakaria in BNI custody while the remaining four be remanded into police custody.

The presiding Magistrate remanded the accused persons as prayed by the prosecutor and adjourned the matter to September 26, 2019.
