#BringBackOurTaadiGirls has not just gone viral but has now become a household campaign tag name on all social media platforms since the beginning of this year 2019 when Ghanaians woke up to the disappearance of three (3) young girls.

After the families of the missing girls questioned why the police failed to disclose the information to them before going public when the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department of the Police Service, DCOP Maame Tiwaa told reporters at a news conference on April 2 “We know where the girls are” while confident of wrapping up the saga, the CID boss urged patience and assured the public “they are safe...very soon they will be brought back home.”
After coming back to deny that the CID knew the whereabouts of the missing girls (2) days after, Maame Yaa Tiwaa confessed she just wanted to give hope to the families of the missing girls. And over (3) months down the line, the president of Ghana breaks his silence on the issue.
President Akuffo Addo speaking on his tour in the Western Region, Wednesday 23rd July 2019 confidently assured Ghanaians and parents of the (3)three missing Takoradi girls namely; Ruth Love Quayson (18yrs), Priscilla Blessing Bentum (21yrs), and Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie (18yrs) that, the police are working very hard behind the scenes to find these girls.
He stated, “The fact that not much information has been out in the public domain does not imply that the state or security agencies are not working hard to ensure their safe return to their families”.
